Storms in Sydney

Holiday Accommodation

Last weekend in Sydney saw the end of not only the hottest Summer on record, but now we are facing what looks like the wettest Autumn on record.

With a deluge of rain which flooded the southern suburbs of Sydney it was not only the suburbs that coped the bad weather it was also the ferries out in the Harbour.

This is an image caught on the Manly Ferry on Saturday by a deckhand called Haig Gilchrist. Usually when the waves get too big the Manly to Circular Quay Ferry gets cancelled as it is not only dangerous for the passengers it is also dangerous for the ship.

The Manly to Circular Quay Ferry is usually a pleasant trip across the harbour and it is perfect for sight seeing, but it can get rough especially when you cross over The Heads so look out!
