Awaba Properties consider your privacy to be very important and we take our responsibility to protect it seriously. Awaba Properties aims to protect your privacy by implementing security and safeguards, along with the confidentiality and security of any personal information that you provide to us.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your personal information in conjunction with your access to and use of all of the Products and Services.

Awaba Properties complies with numerous legislative instruments as Awaba Properties respect your privacy and are committed to compliance with our obligations under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)

Products and Services means the products and services related to the website https://www.awaba.com.au for reservation of and payment of accommodation for customers who require short-term or long-term accommodation. Please be aware that Awaba is not responsible for the privacy practises of other such websites. We encourage our users to be aware, when they leave our website, to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personal identifiable information.

      • Awaba Properties only use personal information collected via our website for the purposes for which you gave it to us including:
        • improving our services and user satisfaction;
        • providing a service that you have requested;

        • promoting and delivering our services to you;
        • determining whether an individual is suitable for a position within our business, as an employee or contractor for a current or future project or role;

      • You have the right to access the personal information held by the Company and Awaba Properties will generally provide it to you but in some cases Awaba Properties may, where and to the extent Awaba Properties are permitted by law, refuse access to some or all of that information. 
      • In accordance with respective privacy laws, Awaba Properties may charge a fee for providing you with such access to your personal information.  Those fees and charges will be reasonable fees charged for the collection and dissemination of data to you and will be determined by Awaba Properties from time to time and Awaba Properties will notify you of those costs prior to providing you access to the Information.  

 Information changes


      • If at any time you wish to change any personal information held by us email or privacy compliance officer info@awaba.com.au. 
      • If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please let us know and Awaba Properties will take all reasonable steps to delete it, unless Awaba Properties need to keep it for legal reasons.

      • Awaba Properties consider data security incredibly important no matter which country you are located in. Awaba Properties have a comprehensive security system in place to protect your information. Awaba Properties use administrative, technical and physical safeguards to ensure your data is stored and used securely.
      • All of our staff are trained in appropriate administrative steps to reduce risk of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration of your data.
      • Awaba Properties use secure server software to encrypt Personal Information. 
      • Our onsite premises are secured to ensure no loss of hardware which stores personal data.
      • Awaba Properties regularly review security and privacy practices to ensure our systems are up to scratch. While Awaba Properties cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur, Awaba Properties use all reasonable efforts to prevent this.
      • It is also important for you to guard against unauthorised access to your personal data by maintaining strong passwords and protecting against the unauthorised use of your own computer or device. 
      • Awaba Properties use a variety of physical and electronic security measures, including restricting physical access to our offices, firewalls, and secure databases to keep personal information secure from misuse, loss or unauthorised use and disclosure.  Staff members associated with website maintenance have access to our website’s backend system which is password protected. Our website server, hosted by our internet service provider, is also password protected.

Safety of Minors


      • Awaba Properties do not offer our services to any persons who are minors, being persons under the age of 13, or the age designated for minors as determined by the laws of the specific jurisdiction in which our services are being accessed.  
      • As our services are not offered to minors, Awaba Properties do not intentionally collect any personal data on any person who is a minor. If Awaba Properties become aware that Awaba Properties have collected personal data relating to a person who is a minor, Awaba Properties will delete that information without notice.

Quality of your personal information


      • Awaba Properties take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information Awaba Properties collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up to date.  If any of your personal details change or you discover any errors in your personal information Awaba Properties hold, please contact us as soon as possible to help us keep our records accurate, complete and up to date.

If Awaba Properties no longer need your personal information for any purpose for which it may be used or disclosed Awaba Properties will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it. 

Processing of sensitive personal information


Awaba will not process sensitive personal information:

      • revealing ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership;
      • personal genetic information and personal Biometric Data for the purpose of uniquely identifying individuals;

This Privacy Policy only applies to personal information collected or held by us.  It does not cover third party websites referred to in or linked from our website.

How do we protect your personal information? 


      • Awaba Properties take steps to guard against unauthorised access to the personal information. Although Awaba Properties make every effort to create a secure environment for your personal information, Awaba Properties cannot guarantee the safety of any personal information which is transmitted to us online and Awaba Properties are not liable for any loss or damage you suffer as a result of any loss or misuse of or damage or unauthorised access to such information. 
      • Awaba Properties continually strives to protect all private information held by Awaba Properties by improving its processes by protecting against unauthorised access to your account by providing a sign off provision which means that you must sign off when leaving your account.

Sending of “Spam” (Promotional email)


 

      • Awaba Properties will not send you Spam without first asking you whether you wish to have promotional information sent to you.  If you are receiving promotional information from us and do not wish to receive this information, you may remove your name from our list either by visiting the Company’s website and following the instructions on how to withdraw your subscriptions or emailing us at info@awaba.com.au and asking to be removed from our mailing list. The Company will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Awaba Properties provides you with a number of rights in regard to the personal data that Awaba Properties process. These rights include:
